Today's show is dedicated to Kevin Matthews, who was the voice of our mornings growing up in Michigan. I can't imagine a childhood without Jim Shorts Sports Shorts, but am kept awake nights about how different things might have turned out for me otherwise.
As I went off to college, Kevin followed me to Chicago, where he soon built a huge following of "Kevheads" there.
Sadly, he was recently diagnosed with MS.
Oddly enough, he has returned to the "oven mitt of America" (er, Michigan), where he is currently rockin' the airwaves of WLAV-FM.
In today's "Awesome Rock Power Hour", we ponder the meaning of life and what really makes Jenny McCarthy float (just kidding).
