Cover Of The Day: Noel Gallagher (Oasis) "To Be Someone" (The Jam)

One of my favorite Jam tunes done by a guy who doesn't get quite enough credit - in America, at least: Noel Gallagher from Oasis.

To Be Someone

His version is taken from a '98 gig in Chicago where he treated the audience to a tasty little acoustic set.

Ah, what the heck, here's a handful of additional tracks from that same show for your listening enjoyment:

Be Here Now
Acquiesce
D'You Know What I Mean?
Wonderwall
Supersonic
Don't Look Back In Anger
Roll With It
Stand By Me
Don't Go Away
Bonus Track:
Acquiesce (Noel Vocal, Chicago 1996 - US gig Liam couldn't be bothered to show up for)

That was a pretty legendary gig. I had a few songs but never the whole thing, so thanks for sharing.

Oh man Liam's voice sounds incredible! I wish I was at that gig - I'm from chicago but I was 12 at the time of the show and not yet...madferritt. I was able to go to that show in Toronto though 2 weeks ago and you can tell the difference in Liams voice since he stopped smoking - sounds great. Anyways thanks for sharing.
